How the score works
The score combines weather, snow, temperature, wind and size — transparent and easy to follow.
Weather during the day
Sun, cloud cover and precipitation on the mountain, from morning to afternoon
Snow
Forecast fresh snow for your ski day. Deduction if the snow line is above the base station and precipitation is expected.
Temperature on the mountain
Ideal zone between -8° and -2°C on the mountain
Wind
Gusts on the mountain. In a storm, the score drops sharply.
Size
Total kilometres of slopes — from very small to very large
Operation and open slopes
Operating status is checked first. Where a current snow report exists, operation is confirmed and open slopes feed into the score. All other resorts follow the season calendar and are marked "Operation not confirmed". The top recommendation only shows resorts with confirmed operation. Closed resorts get no score.
Travel time acts as a filter — resorts beyond your time limit are hidden. Weather, snow and wind data are forecasts.

No. PikVibe shows the Magic Pass ski resorts and helps you pick the best one for the day. Without a pass, you can still use the app and buy a day ticket directly from the resort.
How is the best resort calculated?
A score made up of weather, snow, temperature on the mountain, wind and resort size. Where operation is confirmed, open slopes count as well. Resorts without confirmed operation are marked. Travel time acts as a filter (resorts beyond your time limit are hidden).
Does PikVibe earn money from the ski resorts?
No. PikVibe earns nothing from the resorts themselves.
Is the data up to date?
Weather is updated several times a day. Operating status and open kilometres come from daily snow reports, which don't exist for every resort. Travel times may vary slightly due to traffic.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, PikVibe works directly in the browser on any smartphone.
How accurate is the travel time?
Calculated via Google Maps. Travel times may vary slightly due to traffic. For car-free resorts (e.g. Gspon), only the public transport route is available.
